We are pleased to announce that the school will be running a ski trip for pupils in the first week of the Christmas holidays this year.
The exact details of our destination have yet to be confirmed, but we will be flying to a high level resort in the Alps with a good snow record at the start of the season.
The trip will be led by teachers from the school with experience of leading ski trips to the Alps. At present, this means Mr Tadman, Mrs Whawell, Mrs Elvin and me, though we will certainly add additional teachers to the trip if it attracts a large number of pupils. We will keep a relatively high teacher to pupil ratio to ensure that all pupils, whatever their age and experience, are able to get the most out of the trip.
Ski tuition of at least four hours per day will be provided by local instructors and we will keep our skiing groups small so that all abilities are catered for. We look forward to introducing beginners to skiing at the start of the season when the slopes are quiet. We will also ensure that even the most experienced skiers are given the chance to improve their style and technique under expert tuition. Pupils will also enjoy a full range of evening activities.
We currently estimate that the cost of the trip will be between £800 and £900. However, we will book with the company which can offer us the lowest price, so long as it does not compromise the quality of the children’s experience.
If you would like to book a place on this trip for your child or children, please send a deposit of £200 payable to the school. If you have any questions about the trip, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com.
