1st XI v Ranby House Lost 9-0

A really tough challenge. After weeks of missed games and training S. Anselm’s met a fully geared up Ranby side who proceeded to dominate from the first touches of the ball. Within minutes Ranby strode ahead by 3 goals, despite some great goalkeeping by Harry R-S and determined defensive efforts of James B.
As the game proceeded, Oliver, the skipper battled to keep some possession, but every effort to gain the ball was thwarted. Max played some skilled football and some useful passing between these forwards were the better moments of the afternoon. Charles H and Freddie H made some impact as they came off the bench, but it was not enough to turn the tide. The S.Anselm’s side was well led by Oliver and he must share man of the match with Harry R-S.
