1st XI v Ranby House Lost 10-3

Freezing rain greeted the team on their way out and an very early soft goal that slithered into the S.Anselm's net finished the awakening process. The first half into the wind was a punishing process with a deluge of goals arriving despite the legendary efforts of Alex V.

The S.Anselm's forwards were in good form and put together some good movement which culminated in a great goal from Antoine B. Some hard work in midfield from the likes of Charlie H and Captain William A started to pay dividends.

In the second half a surprise goal from Isaac S was trully magnificent, hitting the ball from the half way line to lob the keeper. With the end of the game looming it was Edward S who showed the opposition what S.Anselm's were really capable of with a superb curling effort that blasted into the back of the net.

Sadly the final whistle went just slightly too late to avert the scoreline drifting into double figures. Leaving us 7 goals astray, however 4 of these were soft options, so In reality the match was far closer than the scores indicate.

Good effort guys. Man of the match goes to Isaac S.
