A tremendous day out on the hallowed turf of the close at Rugby School. S.Anselm's started well with a superb burst from the backs and an early try to David C. S.Anselm's looked a more confident side and the ball was moved smoothly about the huge pitch. Despite being several players short of their normal strength the pack worked hard and performed well at both scrums and lineouts. It was anepic day for the backs with some speedy and accurate passing making some huge bursts into enemy territory. Monty C was quick to score another try.S.Anselm's went from strength to strength. Despite many feeling slightly below par, the excitement of the event overcame this.Freddy RS made some dynamic breaks from the scrum picking up and running one of these in to score his first try. Huge tackles all round prevented opposition gains, especially from Rufus who frequently annihilated his opposite number. At the final whistle the score was a heady 47 to nothing and the result of a great effort by everyone.Well done lads!
