1st XV v Grace Dieu Won 12-0

A pleasing result for the 1st's with some good basic play. Grace Dieu never really got into the game, being held off with a voracious defence from the S.Anselm's side. James B was the first player to put a try down, with a barging charge that carried him under the posts. This score was effortlessly converted by Ollie N.

Despite numerous penalties against them the S. Anselm's defence remained solid and the team carried their lead into the 2nd half. Deep into a long second half David C finally managed to burst the defence again and his offload was silkily collected by Monty C, who with a demonstration of his pace, sped over the line in the corner.

Honourable mentions must include Alfred's fire and determination, Charles B's battering tackles, Elliot W's superb handling and Max's general all round splendid play. All of the team learned a great deal of self discipline, remaining calm despite around 30 penalties going against them.

Man of the match must be Alfred for his best performance to date.
