S. Anselm’s 102-7 (20 overs) beat Hill House 94-9 (20 overs) by 8 runs
The 2nd XI continued their fantastic start to the season recording their third consecutive win of the season. Batting first S.Anselm’s lost Ben D and John B cheaply, however, Will S then went to work repairing the innings with some fine batting and ended with 28 not out. He was well supported by Ollie N 8, Toby S 10 and Ollie H 8 and the S.Anselm’s innings closed on 102-7 in their allotted 20 overs. There then followed a great team bowling and fielding performance with all of the bowlers contributing. Digby D bowled a miserly spell and was unlucky not to take a wicket. Ed H was economical and dismissed one of the openers. John B bowled a good spell but Ben D came on and dismissed key batsmen and took three wickets in total. Ollie N got the Hill House star batsman out with a smart caught and bowled. Jacques T then took two good wickets and there was also a run out. The team pulled together and recorded an eight run win. Well done boys.
