This was a tough game played on Repton's smooth, speedy waterbased astroturf surface, which couldn't have been more foreign to our players. Formarke were a quality team with real experience on their chosen surface and this quickly showed in their increasing scoreline. Great defending by skipper David C and compatriot Seth A kept many attacks at bay. Hugo was great in goal making some commendable saves.
In the 2nd half a last attack almost resulted in a goal with Charlie A tinging the ball off the left post, but sadly we couldn't provide the finish. Man of the match was Seth for his commitment in tackles and for staying on the whole game despite being struck with a hard ball to the hand.
