2nd XI v Westbourne Won by 41 runs

S. Anselm’s won the toss and chose to bat. Despite a few early wobbles we managed to score 157 for the loss of 7 wickets in our 20 overs. Top scorer was Toby S with 31 runs. He was ably assisted by Ollie N who scored 24, including two mighty sixes and William W who scored a commendable 25 runs.After tea Westbourne set out to pass that total and early on in the innings they were ahead of S. Anslelm’s run rate. However, some valuable wickets taken by John W and William H in particular meant that the initiative was handed back to the home team. By their 20 overs Westbourne had scored 116 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
