Unfortunately, Grace Dieu were fielding their last 12 men and this showed. Though they tried hard Grace Dieu were a weak side and were over-run by S. Anselm’s. We immediately had the upper hand and scored two very quick tries. The boys then relaxed and began to play fast and loose rugby. A poorly thrown pass meant that Grace Dieu managed to score against the run of play. The captain and pack-leader were quick to reprimand the players and from then on the boys continued to play a very high standard of rugby throughout the whole game. The rucking, ball presentation and handling was first rate and the boys made the very best of the wide pitch and weak opposition. They came off beaming but also aware that they had played some very attractive rugby and had kept the tempo up. At half time all 4 replacements came on and played with great determination and skill.
