The boys failed to ignite from the very beginning. Their defence was decidedly lacklustre and limited weight in rucks and scrums meant that possession was always under pressure. On a massive pitch the difference in team prowess was magnified. Packwood possessed a set of nimble backs who sliced through our defensive three quarters with ease. The forwards were driven off the ball in most encounters by the heavyweight of the opposition. This placed huge demands on the defenders with Paddy D, John W and Toby S making tremendous efforts to try and thwart the flood of points.
