This was a tight game, tighter than the final score line might suggest. We had more shots than D.C. throughout the game, but we were unlucky not to convert them as often as we would have like too. That said, the shooters never gave up so well done to Ella T and Hannah S, they were consistently hitting the rim – so not that far off a score each time – much to the frustration of the supporters! Other days they may well have all gone in! The defence worked hard too – and managed to stop the opposition from scoring at all in the third quarter – leaving us in the nerve jangling position of being at a very tense draw going into the final 10 minutes. PoM went to Roxanne for her tremendous effort from start to finish up and down the court – she proved to be a very key player. Izzi H captained the side beautifully. Well done to the whole squad and thank you to the supporters for all their encouragement and enthusiasm.
