The boys had only had one practice and that had been on grass so they were understandably rusty. Nevertheless, they battled with great determination and at moments in the game they did seem to dominate Foremarke. However, it was too little and despite some frantic defence we conceded four goals in the first half. The second half was better and we seem to have improved our game rapidly only conceding one goal. A key problem was being able to clear the ball out of the D. Players of note were Harry C, Alex T and Edward H. The man of the match was Kevin H.
We have much to work on – not least being able to hit the ball with power, movement off the ball and tackling.
