3rd XI v Foremarke Hall Won by one wicket

This was a fabulously exciting match towards the end as it went right down to the wire. A wide given by their umpire at the end meant we could claim a victory.

We fielded well and managed to keep their run rate low so Foremarke ended up with 98. Alex T took a wicket as did Lewis J and Edward H. Ben E took three wickets with some superb bowling. We could have avoided the 18 extras if we had been a little sharper but on the whole we were well focused and Charlie L was a sound wicket keeper.

Our batting was slow and we lost 9 wickets. It was Lewis J who held out as number 5 and managed to score 22 not out. Some hard running and a willingness to steal singles meant we managed to chase their total successfully.

Another good performance but I feel we need some good nets sessions to become more productive batsmen.
