The second week back to school saw the children in the
Junior Forms enjoying their Literacy lessons by studying the history of Aesop’s
Fables and also sharing their favourite stories. The pupils then decided on a
moral and thought of some interesting characters to create their very own
fable. Once the planning had been completed, they eagerly put pen to paper to
sequence all of their ideas. Finally, at the end of the week the new fables
were acted out (using a variety of props and costumes!) to the whole of
Pre-Prep who seemed to appreciate our performances!
The teachers were extremely
impressed with how creative the fables were and how well the children worked
together. What a super start to the academic year!
