Anselmians take to the moors for the 2017 Brailich Hill Run

Friday 21st April saw the whole of S. Anselm's Prep School take to the moors for the truly exhilarating 2017 Brailich Hill Run!

A crowd of parents turned out – well wrapped up against the surprisingly sharp wind and jangling cow bells and clackers – to support our runners.

The results were:

Junior Girls: Imogen N

Junior Boys: Freddie H

Middle Girls: Ava B

Middle Boys: Hugo H

Senior Girls: Isobel E

Senior Boys: Archie P

Once all the results had been crunched, it was announced that the joint winning houses were Nelsons and Churchills.

The all-time record of 7m 20s to complete the course (set by George W in 2014) was beaten this afternoon by Archie P, who finished it in 7 minutes dead.

New course record holder Archie P receives his cup from Mr Shepherd.

Thank you to all the people – grounds teams, catering staff and sports team – who made the event possible. Our thanks also go to Mr Penrose and Mr Thorpe for kindly allowing us to run across their land and enjoy a route with such breath-taking scenery.  Special thanks are also due to Toby, Jack and George from the College, who did an amazing job as Hares for each of the three races.

Few courses could command such views and it is quite an achievement for our Prep School children to tackle and complete such a demanding course. Enormously well done everyone!
