There have been some fantastic drawings created in response to the theme of 'Treasure Island'. Pupils in Years 3-5 were invited to participate, the competition was optional and pupils created the drawings in their own time. There were over twenty entries and the standard of work was very good with bold use of colour, great drawn characters and scenes and some inventive uses of tea and candles to age the paper! All the pupils who completed a drawing will earn house points. The fourteen best entries will have their work displayed and also receive a small chocolate prize and the three winners of the competition will be presented with a prize.
Beth P won the competition and her drawing will be used for the posters around the school and on the front of the programme. James H’s great treasure map will be used as ‘Flint’s Map’ in the production.
Pupils were presented with their prizes in Monday’s assembly.
The winners were:
1st place Beth P Yr 3,
2nd place Izidora R, Yr 5
3rd place Sophia H, Yr3
Well done to everyone who took part!
The Junior Production is on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th March.
