Boarders' Debating Evening

Boarders' Debating Evening

On Thursday 11th May, Mr Phillips and Miss Wooley adjudicated the Boarders' Debating Evening, where the motion discussed was: ‘this house believes nuclear weapons should be used as a deterrent.’

A three course, candlelit dinner was served, for which the children had chosen the menu earlier in the week: garlic dough balls to start, fajitas for main and Eton mess for dessert.

It was a splendid evening and well done to both teams who clearly put a lot of time into researching their arguments and spoke well on the night.

It was the opposition who won the evening and well done to William B, Angus L, Hillary O, Lizzie R, Katie S, Amelia E, Georgie S and Nicola S who made up the winning team.
