Another sunny day; another Geography fieldtrip!
Year 9 Kinder students took part in their river fieldwork study trip last week. They visited Burbage Brook near Grindleford and River Derwent at Calver. Students, in their wellington boots, braved the cold water to measure the cross section of the rivers, take sediment samples and measure the flow rate at both sites.
Back in the classroom, Kinder students have been developing their cross-curriculum learning with Maths to further investigate river size and water speeds.
