On Friday 30th September, Kinder hosted their parents for a delicious homecooked meal in the comfort of the College Common Room. An Italian-themed menu had been created, invitations had been sent out and RSVPs collected.
Fresh from their river study, Kinder quickly rearranged all the furniture and began to prepare the platters of Italian antipasti and the main courses of Spaghetti (and vegetarian) Bolognaise. Care was taken whilst cutting the veg, although the onions caused a few tears. Isabella came up with the great idea of wearing swimming goggles to protect her eyes. I’m not sure if it worked, but it certainly looked interesting! The parents enjoyed the food and company and Kinder did a great job with keeping their parents fed and watered. To finish, we had ice cream and fruit sundaes with coffee and mints. Kinder even cleared all the tables and washed up afterwards.
Thank you to the parents who came and well done to Kinder for a fantastic evening!
