The Pre-Prep is a bustling and vibrant department which sees the children run happily into school each morning, and leave content with what they have achieved at the end of the day.
Learning at this early age should most definitely be enjoyable, coupled with developing a desire to work hard and to always do your best.
Children are encouraged to be creative thinkers, with ample opportunities to problem solve and become independent learners. Lessons are planned using a thematic approach encompassing many areas of the curriculum, allowing the exploration of topics in greater depth, and to enable the children to immerse themselves in their learning.
Due to our excellent staff to pupil ratio, our small classes ensure form tutors know and understand their pupils extremely well and can cater for their individual needs. Despite being non-selective many of our children are working well above national expectations for their age in reading, writing and mathematics.
Utilising the wonderful outdoor space that S. Anselm’s is blessed with, the children spend a good proportion of their day outside, enjoying the fresh air and open green fields. Laughing, playing with friends and developing the essential social skills to equip them for life.
