Congratulations to all the school musicians for an outstanding week of music. Chapel Choir sung a beautiful rendition of Rutter's 'For the Beauty of the Earth' during Monday's Harvest Assembly. On Thursday we had over 20 thoroughly prepared performances at the lunchtime Informal Concert in the new library which was very well attended creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Also on Thursday, College pupils were absorbed in Mrs Hunt's lunchtime singing workshop and worked together well. Another one of these workshops will follow next term.

To finish a wonderful day, 15 pupils from years 6, 7 & 8 accompanied Mrs Dinnigan and I to the Bridgewater Hall where Sir Mark Elder conducted Verdi's Macbeth and Beethoven's 9th Choral Symphony performed by the Halle orchestra broadcasted live on Radio 3.
