On Friday 6th May, Kinder hosted a fun-filled evening to fundraise for their trip to Spain this summer. With fantastic support from parents and Year 8 children throughout the school, over 60 tickets were sold. The evening started with delicious tapas and refreshing sangria served in the library. The Spanish theme was reinforced by the glorious evening sun and everyone enjoyed catching some air outside whilst Mrs Dinnigan serenaded us with some classical guitar music.
We eventually moved into the dining room, where the ladies in the kitchen had spared no expense in producing a wonderful Spanish feast for us all: chorizo and chicken skewers, seafood paella, gambas, meatballs and (of course) Rioja!
Before this point, people were questioning why a stage had been erected at the front, but this soon became clear as an amazing flamenco display ensued. There was an incredible amount of precision and passion displayed and Mr Shepherd even tried his hand at the dance!
Lemon pie and coffee followed to round off what was an excellent evening. Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who helped organise the evening.
