Scholarships to S. Anselm's College

S. Anselm’s College is pleased to offer Sport, Academic and Creative Arts (Music and Art) Scholarships.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of evidence of exceptional recent achievement, performance in the scholarship examinations and an interview. 

Academic

Academic scholars at S. Anselm’s College will demonstrate exceptional intellectual potential. They are expected to provide a positive role model for fellow students and maintain excellent standards of academic progress and conduct at all times. They will be academically stretched by their teachers and will contribute positively and significantly to the academic life of the school.

Music

Music scholars will be expected to take a minimum of 40 minutes instrumental/vocal lessons per week. They will have the opportunity of belonging to a musical group, leading a musical ensemble and attending external concerts. Music scholars will be expected to take part in at least two musical ensembles, perform in school concerts and at other events as required by the school.

Art

Art scholars will be expected to take a minimum of one additional hour of art per week. They will have the opportunity of participating in extra art sessions and attending external exhibitions and galleries. Art scholars will be expected to take art at GCSE level as either a fine art or a textiles option.

Sports

How to apply

To be considered for a S. Anselm’s College Scholarship the parents of the prospective scholar should first:

  • Make an appointment to visit S. Anselm’s College and meet with the Headmaster by contacting the School Office on: 01629 812734
  • Thereafter, complete a College Registration Form and return it, with the applicable fee.

Successful applicants will be invited to the Scholarship Interviews & Exams
Please note that acceptance for entry to S. Anselm’s College is not dependent upon sitting or being successful in these exams. 

Before a scholarship is awarded, the College will take up references from the candidate’s current school.
