Wellies Elephant is painted!

Over the past week pupils have worked as a team to paint Welly the Elephant. The design was created by Grace Chichester-Clark in Yr 4. Grace’s design was the chosen one from many great designs submitted by pupils. The first layer used on the elephant was tissue paper, we then used acrylic paint for the main shapes, details were added with Posca pens and glass beads. Welly has now had two coats of yacht varnish and she will be exhibited in Sheffield City centre along with other elephants from schools in Sheffield and larger elephants created by Artists. Money raised by the schools will go to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
