Year 1 came to school dressed in all their finery before half
term to experience the delights and delicacies of a Tudor banquet as the grand
finale to our Turrets and Tiaras topic.
They started the day by gracing Nursery with their royal presence and
explaining to the Nursery children who they were and what they enjoyed
doing. Visitors included Countess Edie,
King Neville, Sir Reuben, Musketeer Max and Princess Zara.
Having also introduced themselves to the Year 2 children they
then set to work preparing food for the lavish banquet.

prepared by the children.
Earlier in the week the children had worked tirelessly to make
other amazing creations fit for kings and queens.
The children then walked through school to their banquet hall
much to the admiring eyes of many of the Prep children.
During the banquet the children sang a traditional song to
entertain everyone accompanied on the guitar by Lady Dinnigan.
tucked in and enjoyed the wonderful food and wine!
Once again a great experience for the children, helped by
their wonderful behaviour and great effort with costumes.
