On Friday 6th February, Year 3 took full advantage of the beautiful sunny day (and disappearing snow!) to set up their shadow experiment. Kitted out with some chalk and a metre stick, each group went on to top court every hour of the day to find out what happened to their shadows. The test was made fair because the same person had to stand in the exactly the same place each time.
Once the shadow has been outlined, the groups measured it accurately and wrote down the length and time of day. We had lots of fun finding out that not only do our shadows change position but they also change in length. It provided a fitting end to our Light and Shadows topic.
