Twenty six athletes travelled to Leeds to compete in the Regional IAPS Athletics Championships on Tuesday. All of the girls and boys gave of their best. However, there were some outstanding performances by some individuals which have resulted in them qualifying for the National IAPS Athletics finals to be held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on Monday 5th July 2010.
Georgy H won her Hurdles and Long Jump events, Edward H won the Shot and Freddie H won the High Jump. The girls Under 11 relay quartet of Annie G-P, Jessica R-S, Arabella H and Georgy H, against very stiff opposition had the result of the day with Georgy H anchoring the team to a dramatic victory on the line, this was an outstanding performance.
