Boarders' Sundays

 

The weekends at S. Anselm's are jam-packed. In the last year there has been an average of between seven and ten activities on offer every Sunday – too many to list here…. but we will have a go! Music work shops, BBQs, Halloween parties, Christmas parties, Burns suppers, climbing, abseiling, visits to caves, castles, tram museums, Chatsworth and other country houses, football, cricket and rugby matches, canoeing, cycling, walking, cinema trips, bowling, raft building, fathers versus sons and mothers versus daughters sports competitions, arts and crafts, sevens tournaments, netball tournaments, debating, horse-riding, rock scrambling, wild boar watching, cricket, man hunt, skills days at senior schools, tennis and cake, tee-shirt designing, bushcraft workshops, swimming, meccano, visit to the Bakewell Christmas market, puppet making, cookery, jewellery making, a Boarders’ Review Evening, rock scrambling, croquet, badminton, pottery, paddling at Padley Gorge, origami, hockey, museums, art galleries, shopping……..

 

 

The boys and girls still say next year they want to do all that plus some gorge scrambling, some fishing, indoor skiing, ice-skating and so on and so on and who are we to say no! Put quite simply, on a Sunday the children have a blast!
