The exeat ended with a Ceilidh held in the sports hall. Our very own recorder group played some of the lead pieces and it was a great way to get the boarders back into school.

I was particularly pleased with the high number of day pupils who came in especially for this. It is a great way to mix and get to know others and no prior knowledge is needed – believe me!

There was lots of whooping, clapping, stomping and twirling and a great time was had by all.

Many thanks go to Mrs Dumpleton and her band for not only providing the music but also the moves in nice easy steps!
