On Tuesday 23 February, the Chapel Choir travelled to York to perform at York Minster.
After the long journey, we were treated to a splendid lunch at Pizza Express:

We then embarked upon an afternoon of rehearsals and an opportunity to look around the magnificent building.
The choir sang Choral Evensong at 5.15. This is a service which has remained in virtually the same format for some 400 years, and it was a proud opportunity to be part of that history.

At the conclusion of the service, David Shepherd, who led the service said that he hoped to see us again. I shall check in the diary for next year …
Well done to all the choir and my thanks go to Andrew Marples for some fantastic organ playing, and to Helen Lings, Clare and Holly for coming on the trip.
