n the evening of Thursday 4 December, the older members of the Chapel Choir went down to Ashford-in-the-Water to provide some vocal entertainment for the Women's Institute Christmas party.
The children sang carols as a nice warm-up for next Friday's Carol Service, with solos from Tobias, Isobel and Eliza, including Simon Lindley's 'Ave Maria' and Michael Head's beautiful 'The Little Road to Bethlehem'
The ladies of the WI seemed to have a splendid evening, and included an ex-S Anselm's teacher who in now in her 90s. She reminisced with the children about the school.
After the singing, the Chapel Choir talked to some of the ladies and were treated to some wonderful refreshments.
Thank you to all the singers involved for giving up their evening.
