One disadvantage of the long Summer break is all too apparent when pupils have their first instrumental lesson in September. A combination of sunny weather (if we're lucky), holidays and the lack of music staff breathing down the pupils' necks often means that practice isn't as regular as it might be.
A number of parents have requested extra instrumental lessons over the Summer break and, as a new initiative this year, we hope to be able to cater for this. Not all of the peripatetic staff will be able to / willing to offer Summer tuition. However, if you would like me to investigate the possibilities, then please do get in touch by email: jon.weller@anselms.co.uk and let me know your availability so I can liaise with the instrumental staff.
Lessons would be charged at the normal school rate and will go on the Christmas 2010 bill.
I look forward to seeing how successful this initiative is.
