As part of the Form 3 topic on Bakewell, the children have enjoyed a visit to the local church and the Old House Museum this week.
At the Old House Museum, the children experienced how “Wash Day” would have been carried out in the olden days.
Many of the children remarked how much they had enjoyed scrubbing clothes, rinsing them and using the mangle.
(In fact, I am sure many parents will be keen to maximize on their new found skills!)
The children reveled in the opportunity of trying on some Victorian style clothing and were fascinated by many of the artifacts which they saw.
I think the old school room certainly made them all decide that they were much happier returning to the Pre-Prep!
