Garden House is home to the Junior girls and is a delightful residence surrounded by gorgeous gardens overlooking Bakewell. Like the other houses, this is very much a family home and one is struck by the fact that the girls are very much part of the house parents’ own residence. The girls’ rooms are comfortable and carefully decorated, with a real sense of homeliness. In the evenings the girls play board games, read and chat to their house parents – the Prices. Clare and Hugh are highly experienced and very well-liked by both parents and pupils. Clare has a close relationship with all the girls in her care and has real affection for them coupled with a deep understanding of their needs. The Prices have two older children of their own, one of whom is at Malvern College and the other has just graduated.
