The gardening club had a very enjoyable field trip to the Newton’s garden.
After ice creams and drinks, they had a tour of the garden, followed by ‘a hands on’ vegetable growing talk where they each planted out a lettuce seedling. They also dug out some new potatoes to study how they grow under the ground.
Everybody picked a lettuce to take home and the trip was rounded of by cutting bunches of Sweet Williams.
A great time was had by all and Mrs Price went home with fresh eggs, broccoli and
Cauliflower!
