S. Anselm's School

Hillcrest

Hillcrest is a large but very homely residence that nestles close to the school and is surrounded by green fields and picturesque countryside. The younger girls live here in cosy, warm and intimate rooms. The house parents, Helen and Martin Seddon, take great pride in their care of the Year 4 - 6 girls and they are highly experienced, sensitive and welcoming. Helen is also the Head Nurse at the school. The Seddons have two young children who thoroughly enjoy sharing their home.

Visitors always comment on the fact that the house feels welcoming and has a family atmosphere that is a vital ingredient in a boarding house such as this.  In the evenings the girls play board games, parlour games, watch television, read and most importantly relax with each other and chat with the Seddons. The care the children receive is first class but the house is also a fun place to be and the girls have a tremendous time being creative with arts and crafts and having mock fashion shows amongst much else!  The Seddons also enjoy the Sunday outings off site and the girls have been to the Chestnut centre, the Matlock Aquarium amongst much else.
