Horrible Histories at Buxton

Horrible Histories at Buxton

On Wednesday, all the 2nd Year boys and girls went to Buxton Opera House to watch some horrible history on stage. The performance was entitled , "The Terrible Tudors" which linked nicely to their current History topic in school.

The performance was fantastic - witches were burned, wives were beheaded and an Armada was defeated. The blood curdling noises and special effects were superb and the children's imaginations were captured by a cast of four who played kings and queens as well as peasants and executioners. All in all, this was a great trip that brought history to life and extracted whoops of laughter and groans of horror from the audience! The children were very well behaved and smart and this was commented on by the theatre staff. Many thanks to Dorothy Young for organising this terrific trip.
