Lads n Dads Football

This was an epic afternoon that saw some fine displays from all sides. The Lads came out full of youthful vigour and keen to show their metal. Smart and well turned out they warmed up in a slick orderly fashion and displayed some neat and fancy footwork out on the field.

 The Dads were frequently wrong footed as their nimbler sons often out foxed them with their quick feet and sharp passes. Unfortunately all this was not enough and the brawn of the Dads was telling. The physicality of the forty somethings coupled with the few young guns who infiltrated the Dads’ ranks was a killer combination and too much for the Lads.

Thanks go to all the Dads who played with great enthusiasm and particularly to Mr Woolhouse and Mr Davies who captained their teams so well despite some ailing limbs! I'm certain all the genuine Dad's will need some tlc over the coming days. Thanks to the staff that made it possible: Mr Mace and Mr Northcott for the onerous task of blowing the whistle. Mr Tadman and Mr Woods showing their skills and finally Mr Berry for teeing up the arrangements.
