Tom Croft, Leicester Tigers and England & British Lions Rugby player supports S. Anselm’s with National School Meals Week 2010.
“National School Meals week is a fantastic way to raise the importance of pupils making the right food choices at an early age. Getting the children, parents, staff and catering department involved is a great way for the whole community to be made aware of ‘Healthy Body, Healthy Mind’ at S. Anselm’s. The fact that the children will be actively involved with a full range of activities throughout the week is an excellent way to highlight to the children the importance of a healthy balanced diet and exercise. It is encouraging that S. Anselm’s is part of the National project, which is crucial to the children’s lives now and in the future. Good luck S. Anselm’s Prep School with National School Meal Week 2010. Make sure you save me one of your sausages – I hear they are great!”

Along with Tom Croft, the pupils and staff are all looking forward to National School Meals Week 2010. The whole week promises to be fun packed with lots of activities running throughout the week. The Nursery, Pre –Prep and Prep school will be involved in tastings during morning and afternoon break times, voting will also be taking place on the new tastings and lunchtime menu choices. This year, the focus will be all about educating the children about “healthy body, healthy mind” and this will be emphasised through tastings each day, activities and displays in the main entrance so please do take a look. On Tuesday, the pre-prep and prep school along with all the teaching, catering, administration, maintenance staff will be taking part in a whole school exercise to music programme in our Millennium Sports Hall. The staff are already very excited about it! Please do keep checking the website for regular updates throughout the week.
Many thanks Michelle Northcott.
