Tuesday 1 November, 5.30 pm, Hargreaves Hall: Music Practice Workshop
Do you feel unable to help your child practise?
Does your child make every excuse under the sun not to practise?
Do you wish that you had the skills to help them improve?
Alex Laing, Head of Strings at Uppingham School gives a hands-on practical demonstration on promoting good "practice". His workshop will be geared more towards stringed instruments, but much of the theory is relevant to all instruments. There will be the chance for a question and answer session after the workshop when Alex and myself will answer queries.
I will be requiring some 'guinea pigs' to take part in the workshops - pupils who currently play musical instruments. If you would like to volunteer your child, do drop me an email at jon.weller@anselms.co.uk Otherwise, I will find some volunteers in assembly on the first Monday back.
