Pre Prep Born in a Barn production

Over a month, the children’s hard work really paid off in our performance of Born in a Barn on Wednesday 30th November. The pupils were able to showcase their individual talents; a sensational cockerel with a rousing ‘cock-a-doodle-do’, a very feline cat, a noisy donkey who performed a lovely solo song, and a trio of Year 2 girls beautifully singing ‘Don’t Worry Mary’. Every child had an important part to play. The audience were wowed by the adorable Reception children singing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’, the dancing Camels who really had the hump, and the feisty innkeepers. The children looked stunning in their costumes, reflective of the team effort between parents and staff, and the stage twinkled behind the performers. The story was confidently told by four Narrators whose vocabulary impressed us all, and culminated in all the animals, shepherds, stars, angels and three wise men celebrating the birth of the baby king who, in the words of the play was “Born in our Barn”.

Well done everyone.
