Dear Parents
Happy New Year, I hope you have all enjoyed a happy and relaxing holiday. We are really looking forward to welcoming the children back and hearing all of their news.
Sarah Humpleby will be starting her maternity leave towards the end of this month and we wish her and her family very best wishes, as they look forward to their new arrival. We are delighted that Louise Flack will be becoming full time from the start of this term to cover for Sarah’s maternity leave. Louise is a great addition the Pre-Prep team and she is looking forward to teaching full time again.
We are also pleased to welcome Mrs Louise Kinlen, who has been appointed to teach the Pre-Prep Music lessons and Year 2 Drama lesson, whilst Mrs Humpleby is on maternity leave. Mrs Kinlen is an experienced primary school teacher and mother of three boys and will undoubtedly be a great asset to the department. She will be teaching each year group their music lesson on a Thursday morning and has also kindly offered to run the Musical Extra on a Wednesday after school.
Please note that some swimming lessons have been changed this term and the timetable for the Spring Term will be;
Wednesday afternoon Year 2 (LJD) and Year 1
Thursday afternoon Year 2 (LRF) and Reception
Please ensure that your child’s named swimming kit is in school on the appropriate day.
Just to highlight a few dates for your diaries;
*Parent-Teacher Meetings start w/c Monday 7th February.
*Year 1 Parent Assembly on Tuesday 8th February at 9am.
* Swimathon (Sponsored Swim) on Thursday 10th February.
