The Rugby Season has got off to a great start with some passionate and gritty pre season training. A mixture of fitness and skills were the name of the first day, with some of the boys clearly having had an excellent summer break! Some of the scored on the bleep test did not trouble the maths of Mr Scothern - our new head of maths and 1st XV coach. Still the conditions were excellent and the boys had a super first day culminating in a passionate and hotly contested games.

Day 2 was more about contact and involved tackling practice and rucking, as well as defensive drills and some 7's coaching. Once more we were blessed with super weather and I'm sure the boys will sleep well tonight after the increased level of contact and ferocity. Thankfully there were no serious injuries and we all start the normal season in great spirits.
Lots of the boys have promised big haircuts before term starts - I hope so or they will not be able to see where they are going!
Many thanks to Mr Scothern, Mr Watt and Mr Berry for their help with this pre season session.
