Prospective boarders were invited for a weekend to get used to the school. Having arrived at lunchtime the intrepid explorers set off for a hike with a difference with Mr and Mrs Northcott.

Finally they arrived at a spot where we made a fire - we first attempted to do it the old fashioned way by rubbing sticks - and then resorted to firelighters!

We also played field rounders with a bit of wood!

And then came sausages time!

On we went until we came to Ashford in the water and a great ice cream shop.

We stopped to watch some cricket and then pressed on for a paddle and swim in the river.

Finally we made it back 5 hours later! A huge success for everyone on a great day in the peak district!
