Reception Bonfire Work

The Reception children have been hard at work preparing for Bonfire Night.
First they helped they Kevin build the bonfire, then they got really messy splatter painting to create the booms and sparkles of the fireworks. They then had to design and cut out silhouettes of the houses of parliament, make rockets from junk and build another bonfire this time out of paint, sticks, leaves and lots of glitter. Together we put up the display and learnt the rhyme ‘Remember, remember the 5th of November, re told the story of the Gunpowder plot and finally got really sticky making and tasting toffee apples! Fingers crossed for a dry night.
