On Sunday four children joined teams from many other schools at Repton to take part in the annual Repton Challenge, which was art based this year.
The challenge set was to use the inside and outside of five Kinder eggs (having eaten the chocolate) and one sheet of A4 paper to construct an illustrated book. After a brainstorming session and instructions on how to make the best use of the equipment available the children were left to themselves to be as ingenious as possible in their use of scanners, cameras, Photoshop and darkroom, alongside some doing very careful and precise measuring and folding.
Their final piece was highly praised by the judges and each child received a sketchbook and set of drawing pencils for taking part.
