Well played everyone and thank you to our four captains – Emily G.P, Georgia R.S, Fleur G and Lydia F – good organisation and great encouragement – a super job girls!
The standard of play was impressive throughout the afternoon, with our older girls demonstrating good stick work, solid skill levels and a real feistiness when it came to tackling. Our 3rd year girls worked hard and were not afraid to take on the 5th years when tackling – this experience will stand them in good stead for their own house matches. Great autumnal hockey conditions prevailed; with superb support from the touchline and a real sporting spirit amongst the girls, with the final matches being really crucial to the final places and extremely competitive. Thank you to Mrs Northcott, Miss Flack and Mrs Shaper for assisting with the umpiring and everyone who came to support. DLB
