On Saturday afternoon in cold gloomy conditions on Top Field a fiercely contested Senior House Rugby Competition was fought out with the result being in doubt right up to the last 5 minutes of the final match. Eventually Rufus Litchfield managed to get the best from his Churchills team to just edge out Ollie Nolan’s Wellingtons team, both teams playing attractive attacking rugby and the result was in the balance right until the end of their match.
The other teams Nelsons led by Seth Amos were competitive in all of their matches but just ran out of steam on each occasion. The biggest praise of the afternoon must go to Alfred Hingley who in the face of adversity kept his Pitts team working until the end of each match and never did he give up.
There was great support as ever from the parents, which made a great atmosphere for the afternoon.
