Speech Day 2010

The day was hot and muggy but that in no way subdued what was a super day. The school assembled with very smart looking parents to listen to the various speeches and celebrate what has been another outstanding year. In his speech the Headmaster referred to the concept of challenging oneself, and going outside everyone's comfort zone. He made reference to several children who had done some exceptional things, like jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft, but he also stressed that challenging oneself might be contributing more in any given lesson, or ensuring that one got full marks in vocab tests for a period.  He also quickly went through some of his highlights of the year.

The guest speaker this year was Richard Harman, Headmaster of Uppingham, who gave our leavers some great advice about being true to themselves and stressing how lucky they were to be at such a good school.

There then followed lots of form prizes and the prizes for the summer term:
