This year’s Sports day had it all.
Amid a beautiful lush backdrop every student took part in a superbly organised sports day. This year the competition was especially fierce and it went down to the wire with Pitts winning by only 4 points – the difference between coming 8th or 6th in one single event.
The final shuttle run relay was of course the highlight with the lead changing hands on numerous occasions, and Nelsons finally coming out on top, but it was very close!
Many thanks go to Mrs Northcott and Mr Callun for running such a smooth sports day. Even the weather gods smiled on us today.
RESULTS:
On a very pleasant summer morning on Top Field a very enjoyable day was had by all competitors and spectators. All the pupils gave of their best efforts to win the Blackburn Cup for the overall House Champions and after all of the events only 4 points seperated 1st & 2nd places :

3rd Wellingtons 561 points
4th Churchills 542 points
Lucy E broke the Millenium Record for Senior Girls Shot Putt.
